We bought this to replace a similar work light which had halogen bulbs that made painting in a room too hot to for me. This LED light doesn't get hot. They are 40 watt which is adequate for many projects, but for painting I wish I had ponied up for the higher wattage. I like that the 2 light set can be removed from the tripod. The light units themselved can be adjusted individually left and right as well as up and down (with limits).
